Minnesota's winters destroy mortar joints faster than anywhere else. Tuckpointing removes deteriorated mortar and replaces it with fresh material — stopping water infiltration before it reaches the brickwork.
The crown is the concrete cap that seals the top of your chimney. Cracks let water in — ice then expands those cracks every winter until the crown fails completely. We rebuild crowns properly with the right slope and overhang.
